Tips and Tricks

Did you know that every time you load a saved song in MusAic, the Style values are set to the style of the loaded song? This makes the following songs be in about the same style too. This is also makes for a good way to find out the exact style of a played song, if you're using a Style Width other than 1: just save the song and then reload it!

Have you tried to load the provided Composers? Then maybe you have noticed that "Ecclectic Eric" has the ability to blend styles. Just give him any range of styles, and he'll start mixing them up for you! The only thing to remember is not to change the Rating value until you hear something really good.

Looking for Rap backgrounds?
Style 57 always uses a beat around 98 BPM, and leaves lots of space for Vocal Virtousities.

The simplest way to go from any of the transport buttons to the Rating gauge in Play view, is just to hold down the "left" button if you want to lower the Rating, and the "right" button if you want to raise it.

Feeling Blue?
At Style 33-36 you'll find some blues style tries. Remember, MusAic shure is no Muddy Waters, but at least it's 12 bars...

Have you noticed that you can change the look of MusAics background?
From the Startup Menu, just select "Set Preferences" and then "Appearence". Be sure to try the "Random Pattern", where you get a different pattern each time you select it. Give it a couple of tries, and you might come up with something awesome!

In the "Set Preferences" menu, you'll also find the "Song Length" option. Use short songs if you want to have an overwiev of what MusAic can do at a specific Style setting or if you want to generate short ringtones.

Also in "Set Preferences" is the setting for "Sound Profile". The different settings changes the mixing of the instruments slightly, to suite different listening situations: Use "Headphones" for headphone or line out listening and "Speaker" otherwise. Please note that the changes do not take effect until the next song.

Want some really dense 12-tone music?
Try Style 121-122!
